Don't assume you know if you want to use articles

The biggest problem with most folks who start to use articles to promote their sites is that they come into the project assuming that they already know what to do. They then hurriedly put together some articles and then post them to as many article directories as they can find. When the results they get are disappointing they quickly announce to the world that articles DO NOT work.
